Monkey Hat

I love the Monkey Hat Pattern at Easy Makes Me Happy.  I've been wanting to make it for a while.  I put it on a candle holder for now so you could see the shape, but hopefully I'll have a picture of the hat on a baby soon!  Had some trouble figuring out the best place for the monkey ears.  I'm going to have to wait to see how the hat looks on a baby!

Also, I have been finding that blocking really helps crochet look sharper (that may seem like a no brainer to some, but I had never been told to block crochet)!  I blocked the string ties by spritzing them with water, spreading them out in a shape I liked, and letting them dry on a towel.  It kept them from wrinkling up too much.
