I am in full nesting mode. Just finished this car seat blanket for our little one. It's from a beautiful pattern by Melissa Schaschwary on Ravelry.
- I used Cascase 220 Superwash Sport in Periwinkle. I love this yarn! It is super soft and looks great in person. I used about 4.5 skeins for my car seat blanket.
- I also used U.S. Size 5 Addi circular needles. I bought these on ebay, and T thinks they are knockoffs. I have to agree - they came from Hong Kong, and the flexible piece connecting the needles gets twisted as you work. So fair warning if you try to buy Addi needles on ebay - a good deal is too good to be true!
- I used the medium size blanket measurements - and my blanket came out super tiny! I originally wanted a regular medium blanket, but this was only large enough for a car seat blanket.
- I had a lot of trouble with the yarn overs. When you do the yarn over, the yarn should always come towards you and up over the needle to the back. If you do this, then you will get the nice holes in the trees. If you do the yarn over the other way (wrapping from behind the needle to the front towards you), the holes will not appear.
Much love,
