Fall Herringbone Mittens

Hola folks!

My knitting skills have improved since my two right-handed mitten mistake. I have moved on to Fair-Isle techniques, and I absolutely love this pattern from Elliphantom knits.  I've made them in two color sets. The stranding technique makes them quite warm, I think they will help block out the wind.

Cheat sheet for the pattern:
This pattern is well-written and very clear.  In case it helps, it took me a second to see that the pattern is very simple vertically - it’s always two rows of one color, then two rows of the other color. Using this, you can knit without having to keep consulting the chart!

For DK yarn, I used size 2 needles for the cuff, 4 for the body. This was slightly small for an adult woman's mitten (I had to add 8 rows to the top).  I would try 3 for the cuff, 5 for the body in the future.

Want some more ideas for this pattern? I made a second pair here, with additional notes!

Love,
SaltyCrafts
