Hello, Friends!
I was going on a long-distance flight, and I wanted to make an eye mask. I've finally figured out that if I can get enough sleep during a long flight, I have less jet lag when I reach my destination. Found a great pattern from Girly Knits. The pattern is very clear, and I had no problems following it (even though it was my first chart). It was definitely worth it to buy the pattern to figure out some of the small construction bits for the mask.
Helpful pattern hints:
I used size 5 needles. I used a dark yarn (Vanna's Choice in Dark Heather). I wish I had realized that it is actually hard to use dark yarn (when you are a beginning knitter). It's hard to see your stitches, which made knitting in the whiskers and nose harder than it needed to be. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the results, and I have already made another mask!
Much love,
~SaltyCrafts
