Adventures in Knitting

Good morning!

I recently decided that perhaps knitting would be a good thing to pick up. It seems more flexible than crochet (even though I love crochet). This was my first project:
They look ok here.

They don't look too bad from this angle either (but you can see I mixed up the cable)....

...but oops! Made two righties.

I accidentally made two right-handed mittens! Shoot! And, I only had enough yarn for two mittens, so I had to make left-handed mittens to match these in other colors.  However, I think that otherwise, these came out nicely! I am going to stick with knitting for a while to try to get better - I know at least that I won't make the two right-handed mitten mistake again soon!

Information about the mittens:
I used a 3.25mm kneedle and Lion's Brand Wool-Ease Solids in Charcoal Grey. This is the link to the Ravelry pattern.

Happy knitting!

  1. Your knitting is pretty good for just starting. I started probably about the same time as you and I've yet to complete a real project. Right now I'm just playing with different knitting patterns to test the waters and have only made a couple of fingerless gloves. Have fun on your knitting journey, you're gonna be good at it. You've done cable already, really!! That's fantastic.

    1. Thank you! And I do think fingerless gloves count as a real project!
