Modern painting

This modern painting is one of my favorites.  I made it a few months ago after seeing a blogpost. I wish I could find the post now so that I could credit it, but alas I am having trouble finding it!  It's super easy to make (directions are below).

Materials:
Masking tape or painter's tape (I had some thin masking tape that I bought during a stamp spending spree - I like the look of the thinner lines).
Paint in any color of your choice (I used some cheap acrylic paint, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out - no bleeding at all).
Canvas.  I think my canvas is 18" by 12".  I bought a three-pack of whatever size was on sale. I do think it's worth it to buy a multi-pack of canvasses if you have a lot of wall space. I'll post some more canvas options later!

Directions:
To make, arrange your tape so that you create the types of shapes you want.  Paint all of the empty spaces. I like the look of having a contrasting color in some small areas.  I did end up painting the sides of the canvas to match the colors on the front. It looks better this way, and I figured that by doing this, I wouldn't need a frame. Let me know if you make one! Would love to see it!
